Located within Warsaw’s iconic Palace of Culture and Science, Kinoteka Multiplex is a landmark cinema that blends modern exhibition technology with rich cultural heritage. Since opening in 2001, Kinoteka has curated a diverse programme spanning mainstream releases, independent films, international cinema, film festivals, and special screenings—making it a cultural destination for both general audiences and dedicated cinephiles.

To maintain presentation quality in line with its premium positioning, Kinoteka continually evaluates technologies that enhance visual performance while improving operational efficiency.

Challenges

Prior to the upgrade, Kinoteka Multiplex relied on traditional Series 2 xenon lamp projection systems in two larger auditoriums, which presented several operational and presentation challenges:
  • Poor Visual Performance: Insufficient brightness limited the quality and impact of 3D presentations. Constraints in colour accuracy and contrast further reduced the visual impact of films, making it increasingly difficult to support premium formats and deliver a consistently high-quality viewing experience.
  • Frequent Lamp Replacements and Maintenance:Regular lamp changes and servicing resulted in increased downtime and higher operating costs.
  • Low Energy Efficiency:Excessive heat generation shortened component lifespan and increased cooling demands.

With the upgrade to the CineUnion Pure RGB laser light Source, Kinoteka Multiplex now delivers:
